Mr. Michael Pflederer has spent 19 years in the construction industry working for arguably two of the finest contractors in Central Illinois; River City Construction LLC in East Peoria, IL, and Felmley Dickerson Co. in Bloomington IL. |
Each of these employers provided Mr. Pflederer with a wealth of knowledge and wide variety of experiences as a project manager. It was at Felmley Dickerson Co. where Mr. Pflederer was first introduced to the construction management process as he was assigned to his first project as the construction manager for the City of Bloomington on a $6 million, water treatment plant upgrade. He was later assigned the job of construction manager for the Bloomington Normal Water Reclamation District’s construction of a new treatment plant valued at over $40 million.
Mr. Pflederer immediately understood and appreciated the value to the owner in having a quality construction manager, which can be summed up in three words, “peace of mind”. The owner had a new level of comfort during the entire project with a construction professional that was personally selected, and involved throughout the entire process.
With his years of experience as a project manager for a general contractor, Mr. Pflederer has a thorough understanding and in-depth knowledge of the entire construction process. As a member of a local Board of Education for 16 years, Mr. Pflederer also has a unique understanding from the owner’s perspective.
Benchmark Construction Management was founded in order to offer Central Illinois a greater level of sophistication and professionalism in the construction industry and with the assistance of the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA), Mr. Pflederer feels confident that he can provide it.
